Conference 08

20 September 2008 admin No Comment

ICC

Conference is now just a week away and passes have now been sent out to those who applied early. This years Conference looks to be one of the best yet with a high turnout, success in the polls for the Party and a great schedule of CF events. We also have the AC meet-up and Reform discussion event.

We have been getting a lot of questions about the Conference and I enclose a few pieces of useful information for those attending:

Travelling by train to Birmingham

Chiltern Railways are offering a special £18 return ticket for delegates travelling between London Marylebone and Birmingham.

You can buy a Super Off-Peak ticket and travel on any train, without the normal time restrictions. Tickets are available on the day or in advance, but you must show your delegate credentials (your Conference pass, if you have received it, or a print-out of the email requesting you to collect your pass in Birmingham) to the ticket inspector on your train.

To buy in advance:

• Go to the Chiltern Railways website and book a ticket on any train between 14:00 and 15:20 (the super off-peak period) on the dates you want to travel to and from Birmingham Moor Street.

• Travel on any time train you like on those days, making sure to carry your delegate credentials* to show to the ticket inspector.

Travel within Birmingham

Conservative Members can get free travel around Birmingham by visiting the Centro Stand (number 31) in the Registration Area when they get to the ICC, and claiming a complimentary four-day pass for unlimited travel on Centro buses and trains.
