This weekend Michael, Steve, Christian and I joined 100 young conservative activists for the annual Young Britons’ Foundation’s activist training conference. Held at Wellington College in Berkshire we were treated to a weekend of political theory, activist training and socialising.

The big speakers of the weekend were David Davis, Iain Duncan Smith, Eric Pickles, Ed Vaizey and Douglas Murray – my personal favourite was Douglas with his though provoking analysis of Iran and multiculturalism. I was especially impressed by the Q&A sessions – young conservatives know their stuff and the level of debate was very high.

A large proportion of the activists in attendance were CF members with large groups from Nottingham and London. CF is very grateful for the training they run - hundreds of our members, including myself, have benefited from the training and trips – I highly recommend the summer trip to the US.
