1) A welcome message from the Chairman

Welcome to the first edition of the new Conservative Future newsletter, a monthly email to all CF members across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

The purpose is to keep you informed of news on the ‘national scene’ as well as a way for us to show members, and branches, what support we can offer them. We’ve aimed for a cleaner structure and will be looking to build on this as a template for future issues.

So do have a read and get in touch with any questions or feedback you might have. We are interested to see what you think of the newsletter’s format, and anything else we should be putting in.

We’ll put another newsletter together in the New year so, if you can’t make the CF Christmas Party on December 10th, have a very merry Christmas!

Student Life

Student Life is aimed at those CF members who are under-30 and in full or part time education.

Working Life is aimed at those CF members who are in employment and under 30 years of age.

Social Action

CF takes a large role in social action projects across the UK. This is run by the CF Social Action Network (http://cfsan.blogspot.com/)

As part of CFSANs on going social action projects, this Christmas we have come together to create three projects aimed at helping those less fortunate at Christmas. Any branch can get involved with these:

4) Branches

Branch of the Month

A feature to highlight the great work our branches do, as well as providing advice and ideas to other branches.

Exeter City & East Devon CF

The first Branch of the Month is Exeter City & East Devon. Ottery St Mary is near to the branch, and when they saw the destruction and mess following the recent floods they decided to help. Some of the members jumped into cars and headed on down to help with the clean up. Well done guys!

NEW Branch map

We have now launched a fully interactive branch map, showing CF branches across all of the UK and Northern Ireland. Let us know if your branch is not on the map, or the details are incorrect.

CF backs NO2ID

Conservative Future officially supports NO2ID, the campaign against the Government’s planned ID card and National Identity Register.

Student Life Tours

Bringing a speakers panel to your branch. The first group of these is nearly over, with the final one in Yorkshire on December 11th, but they will be returning in the 2 nd semester.

CFBranch

A free blog for any CF branch that wants to have one. CF needs to become a much more professional organisation and the starting point for that is to ensure that every branch has effective communication methods in place.
