Danny Nicklen has just been elected as the new AC for Essex (you can find his contact details here). The outgoing AC David-James Sadler has written a post reflecting on his time as AC:

Essex Area made excellent progress during my tenure as Chairman, as soon as we had established the new Executive things started moving. We were able to establish more new branches than ever, had a political support network, expanded our online presence and brought the branches in the area closer together through the Executive.

For the first time ever, we were able to put potential new branch Chairmen in touch with Associations to start the ball moving and this allowed branches to grow. One of the main complaints the Area had before I was Chairman was there was an overall lack of knowledge of what the Area was doing ect. I hope that the perspective changed over the past 18 months and that member’s feel involved.

The team on a whole did an excellent job and I wouldn’t want to take all the credit for the progress Essex Area has made, and I am sure our new Chairman Cllr Danny Nicklen will continue this work and we will see Essex Area grow from strength to strength under his administration and I wish him all the best.

We are approaching the most important General Election of our generation and I am sure Essex Area CF will do their part in bringing about the positive change we desperately need in this country.
