Now is the time to get involved
2010 is going to be a very exciting year. By the beginning of June of this year we must have had a General Election. This country is crying out for change after nearly 13 years of Labour.
This is especially pertinent for young people who on the whole feel disillusioned by politics. We have grown up under sleaze, and have been taught not to trust politicians.
We need change and David Cameron will deliver this for us if the Conservative Party is elected to power this year. I am writing this to call on all Conservative Future members to get actively involved this year; you can make a real difference and help remove this rotten Government.
There are now over 15,000 Conservative Future members across the UK and the organisation continues to grow in size. We are a real force in politics and can make a difference; whether this is campaigning in target seats or contributing to a local social action project.
And this is not only a call for CF members to get involved. As David Cameron rightly stated in his New Year’s message there is very little disagreement on aims between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democracts. So I also call on all members of Liberal Youth to come and engage with us in changing politics for the better.
Over the coming months we are going to hold a series of events across the country with a simple aim: to highlight ways people can get involved in making 2010 the Year for Change.
