With the announcement of the General Election likely any day now, CF can today roll out another activist tool as we step up our campaign readiness.
The General Election Map, the template for which we trialed during the 2009 Euro elections and Norwich North by-election, will show activists crucial information on CF’s General Election activity.
On Wednesday 14th April the CF team in Wiltshire will hold a huge Time To Get Involved event in Swindon and Chippenham, firing the starting pistol for CF’s campaigning, and setting a textbook example of organisation and commitment that we want to see replicated nationwide.
I can do no better than borrow heavily from CF’s Wiltshire AC Toby Elliott, who has submitted a detailed and comprehensive plan for the day. Wiltshire contains seven seats, three of which are crucial target seats in which the local team will be looking to make a big impact.

Not even the driving rain seemed to deter the crowd who packed Milton Keynes Academy on Saturday morning when we gathered for David’s speech.
The address covered many familiar topics, repeated many accepted facts: that we are the party of the NHS, the party of aspiration, the party of change.
But amongst the usual headlines, David, I felt, got to the core of what we encounter so often as activists on the doorstep.
Further to Owen’s recent post that 50% of students will not vote, a study published last week by the Electoral Commisson suggests that the 17-25 year old age bracket has the lowest level of voter registration. A shocking 56% of young people are not on the electoral roll. It’s one thing if students haven’t been engaged to vote, but even worse if they aren’t even enfranchised! The is the cornerstone of our democracy, and yet a vast tranch of the age range from which Conservative Future’s membership is drawn isn’t …
It with great pride that I can announce today the efforts of CF members raised a grand total of £9470.15 for the cause.
For many CFers late October and early November means one thing in particular: The Poppy Appeal.
Last autumn was the third year that CF activists have given up their time to help out the Royal British Legion with its flagship fundraising event, not as a political activity but simply as people with the time and willingness to do good without gain.
On Tuesday, 13th October Cities of London and Westminster CF launched our annual Poppy Appeal – and your branch should get involved too! In this post I’ll detail the few easy steps you need to take in order to start collecting for our veterans, service personnel and their families.
Our appeal was endorsed by Gerald Howarth MP, Shadow Defence Minister for procurement and the Royal Air Force, and marks the start of our third year collecting. To date we’ve raised nearly £8,000 and hope to smash to £10,000 mark this season.

Polling day in the Bedford Mayoral Election is only one day away and we have pledges to call on, last deliveries to be made, and also need your help on polling day with telling and getting out the vote. We know our opponents will be very active from now until close of play Thursday and so we need a strong GOTV effort if we are to elect Parvez Akhtar – a local resident selected at an open primary – as the next Mayor of Bedford.

Saturday and Sunday saw Conservative Future continue its presence in Norwich North.
On Sunday I joined the ConservativeHome.com coach which brought 35-40 activists up from London.
Our day began with a briefing from Theresa May MP, who is overseeing our efforts, and our wonderful candidate Chloe Smith.
Chloe Smith has been campaigning in Norwich year in and year out and is fighting a positive campaign. This by-election is not just an excellent chance to get a great MP – and member of Conservative Future – into the House but is also crucial to keeping the pressure up on Gordon Brown during the summer recess.
Campaigning and canvassing are well under way, both in Norwich and from the GenEVA on 5 Call Centre at CCHQ, the Tower, 30 Millbank, SW1. During campaigns we canvass to find out who people intend …
