Elation for Conservatives in Worcestershire as the County turns blue!

By Chris Morrall

I want to congratulate new Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier as Worcestershire turned blue on May 7th. The recent General Election saw 4 new Conservatives seats join Bromsgrove and Mid Worcestershire’s Peter Luff giving Worcestershire 6 Conservative MP’s in total out of 6.
In all there were 5 new Conservative MP’s elected. The Bromsgrove seat was returned to the Conservatives by Sajid Javid following the resignation of Julie Kirkbride. Harriett Baldwin won West Worcestershire, Robin Walker won Worcester and Wyre Forest saw Mark Garnier take the seat.
Another big surprise …

The Conservative Party is back in government

By David Cameron

Thank you for all your patience over these past few days. I know that you must have found it frustrating not knowing exactly what was going on while negotiations continued. However, the great news is that after 13 years, our party is back in government.

So first, I want to thank you again for all your hard work and dedication, not just over the past few weeks but over the past few years. I literally could not have done this without you.

A contract between the Conservative Party and you

We go into the general election on 6 May with trust in politics and politicians at an all-time low. And I can understand why: the years of broken promises, the expenses scandal, the feeling that politicians have become too remote from the people – they’ve all taken their toll.
That’s why I’m making this contract with you.
For too long, you’ve been lied to by politicians saying they can sort out all your problems. But it doesn’t work like that. Real change is not just about what the government does. Real change …

Social Action day in Richmond Park

By Ben Mallet

On Tuesday 20th April, Richmond Park’s Conservative parliamentary candidate, Zac Goldsmith teamed up with local residents for a Social Action day.
Following a consultation, Zac and the team met with some residents of Robinson court, in Richmond upon Thames. The residents had suggested that there were two sites in the court that could do with some gardening.
Homebase Richmond kindly donated some plants and volunteers set about digging over the land and planting the shrubs.
Alongside the gardening, local Conservative council candidate, Katharine Robinson had organised and advertised a “bring and …

Campaigning in Wentworth and Dearne

By ElectMichelle 2010 Team

Last week, various activists including the National Executive’s own Chris Hampsheir and Michelle Donelan led a team to Wentworth and Dearne to campaign on behalf of Michelle, who is the only National Executive member fighting for a Parliamentary seat at the upcoming General Election.
The weekend was devised around the target local council seats and we started off early in the morning, with various members of the small and steadfast local association, who were absolutely fantastic in putting us up. A special thanks to the Chairman of the …

Mark Garnier and Worcestershire CF join the Wyre Forest rallying cry!

By Chris  Morrall

(from left to right Mark Garnier, Chris Morrall and Becky Vale)
On Monday 8th March I joined the Conservative pre election rally for Mark Garnier at Margaret Thatcher House (MTH). Mark Garnier the PPC ‘electrified the audience’ at the pre election rally and in the process helped motivate the team to get stuck in and campaign hard towards what will be a ‘hardfought’ and ‘much needed’ conservative victory at the General Election.
The event was a resounding success with a packed hall of activists, Councillors and party members. Those present …

A Year for Change on the NUS

From the Blue Blog: Conservative Future are standing for elections to the student body.
By Kit Friend
For a number of years, NUS elections have been contested by open Labour Students, and “Independents” who are often Labour Party Members (or at a push Liberal or Green).
But this year, I’m going to be contesting as an official Conservative candidate. I believe standing for office carries with it a responsibility to be open about affiliations, and that if the NUS claims to be a truly representative body, this should be reflected in the politics …

The three evenings of campaigning proved a resounding success …
